Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, today, international star Rema announces his headline ‘Rave & Roses’ UK + EU tour. Kicking off on 18th September at O2 Academy Brixton, the 21-year-old sets off an eleven-date trip performing throughout the UK and Europe, ending up in Paris at Olympia. Rema has been spreading his Afrorave sound far and wide, setting the standard for what’s to come at last weekend’s Wireless festival by delivering a stand-out performance packed with energy and banger after banger. A true trailblazer, the Lagos-based singer has proven himself time after time and has become an unmissable artist to see live. This tour has been a long time coming for the musician who has already built a dedicated fanbase that spreads across the entire world. Referring to his followers as ‘Ravers’ anyone lucky enough to see him live can expect the unexpected with Rema stating he has an out-of-body experience every time he steps on stage.

Since his inception, Rema (real name Divine Ikubor) came in and completely switched up the game and rapidly became one of the biggest and most internationally known names in the new wave of Afrobeats stars. His debut EP ‘Iron Man’ – which included breakout hit ‘Dumebi’ – catapulted Rema globally resulting in him gracing the covers of Dazed & Confused and The Fader in his debut year. Rave & Roses is an album that portrays both sides of Rema’s personality, Rave embodies his infectious energy and youth, showcasing a young man who’s navigating his way through love and lust whilst enjoying life. Roses digs deeper and speaks on Rema’s personal story of loss, whilst revealing honest tales of how he often feels as though he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Putting his own supernatural spin on the genre, what makes Rema stand out is his ability to bounce between influences, citing African, Indian and Arabic music as having an integral impact on his sound. From his sonic, style, design, and creativity, there is no one else like him. For more information on Rema, please visit: Instagram | Twitter | Spotify
