he House of Love - Adored Indie Icons
Huge stars on both sides of the Atlantic in the late '80s, these alternative rockers remain a popular live draw after reforming in 2003. Known for huge hits such as 'Shine On' and 'Destroy the Heart', they've wowed the crowds at huge events such as Reading Festival over the years - and still know how to get a crowd moving more than 25 years after their formation.

The House of Love Biography - Building Bridges
Singer-songwriter Guy Chadwick formed this much-loved group with guitarist Terry Bickers in 1986. Following the release of their debut single 'Shine On', follow-up 'Christine' brought the group their first taste of success in the form of a Number 1 spot in the independent charts before the release of their eponymous debut album later in the year. However, its success was followed by a well-publicised fall out between Chadwick and Bickers, leading to the latter departing in 1989. The group returned with a second self-titled album - alternatively known as Fontana or The Butterfly Album - in 1990, when they also played a memorable show at London's Royal Albert Hall. However, they eventually split in 1993, leading to its members launching solo careers and new musical ventures.

However, fan demand led to the band reforming a decade later to play fresh live dates, while 2013 has brought a critically acclaimed new album, titled She Paints Words in Red. Now truly back to their best, the band are best enjoyed live - so make sure you purchase The House of Love tickets on StubHub UK for their upcoming gigs.
